The offices of Sorcerer are littered with Mega STs, and Nicholas has one at home. Magnus also uses one of the office Amigas in one of his games.

Nicholas Thorne is a successful businessman whose "Sorcerer" business produces board and computer games. Mangus, his jealous ex-business partner, steals two million from the company and draws Nicholas into a "reality game".

Compaq Portable II
Magnus hires a hacker to break in to Sorcerer and steal funds from the royalty account. The hacker uses the Portable II to do this.
The actual hacking process seems pretty dodgy - guessing password mostly, but the use of the Compaq seems about right.
