Reforming prison board member Katherine used her Laser 128 to write disapproving reports about the prison. Her computer is later taken over by the mysterious force.

An old prison is reopened and its brutal warden brought out of retirement to run it. It soon becomes apparent that a malevolent supernatural force is at work as prisoners and guards start to suffer grizzly deaths.
