A UFO crashes in Arizona after colliding with a satellite launched from the space shuttle. With an election due in a few days the government tries to cover it up, moving the ship to Hangar 18 for investigation. Meanwhile the two astronauts whose reputations were smeared as part of the cover up investigate the crash themselves.
