Carsten and Juri break into a computing facility to use an SGI Onyx so that Juri can demonstrate his texture mapping techniques. They later purchase a larger Onyx system for the Terravision project.
SGI Onyx
The Onyx was a range of graphics systems SGI introduced in the mid 1990s. They were available as both desk-side and rack-mounted systems and were very popular for visualisation and CGI work.

There are a number of big-iron SGI boxes in the TraviCom datacenter. I'm not entirely sure, they look like Onyx systems to me.
