Apple II in The Royal Tenenbaums (2001)
Chas uses the Apple to run his childhood business, although he still uses it in adulthood.
The only slight shortfall on realism - could one really still use an Apple II to run a modern business?

Depends upon the business, but for most small non-graphical or non-musical businesses, Appleworks could still handle the standard business trifecta of word processing, spreadsheets and databases. A few years ago, some Apple II users were boasting of running their businesses or managing large computer shows in the midwest with database records numbering around 55,000 (a maxed out IIGS, in all likelihood) so it is possible. Text only internet access is still possible, but fewer and fewer ISPs offer non-PPP internet access (a good one is Eskimo.net) BTW, you forgot to include the sequel to 2001: A Space Odyssey, 2010 where Roy Scheider's character is using an Apple IIC+.

Surely, the fact he's still using the Apple is just a joke? A bit of fun, harking back to his childhood, or that he hasn't fully grown up?

This scene was set in the '80s. So, yes, running a small business out of an Apple II was feasible.
