Apple III in Tron (1982)
Flynn uses his Apple III to connect to Encom and run the CLU program that he hopes will uncover evidence of Dillinger's crimes.
The Apple is running as a remote terminal - well within its capabilities.

Great start, but with a film filled to the very brim with computers, could we have some more time spent on it? Thank you!

Help identifying any more of the computers would be greatly appreciated!

We need to identify the ENCOM computer terminal! That's the one that Alan is using when trying to get Group 7 access to TRON, as well as the one that Lora and Walter program the laser with (not to mention the one that Flynn is using at the time of his transportation into the Grid).

Thank you so much. I was looking for this information. I will mention it in my movie reviews. By the way, what an interesting site you made with an original purpose. Good job. Congratulations.

In Tron: Ares (aka Tron III), when they're going to send Ares into Flynn's original Grid, the computer they're using is an Apple III. And yes, it's supposed to be the original Grid, as Ares escapes the light cycle grid through the hole they made in the original movie. Seems kinda appropriate, seeing as how (as seen in your screenshot) Flynn is using an Apple III when he's "digitized" by the laser and sent into the grid. Tron: Ares came out in 2025.
