Jason Shepherd has a school essay stolen by a mean movie producer who goes on to make a film with it. Desperate to prove to his father that he is not lying about the theft, Jason and his friend Kaylee travel to Hollywood to try and convince the producer, Marty Wolf, to tell the truth.

Jason and Kaylee communicate with each other using their Cybiko handhelds to try and sneak the late-running Jason into class.
One of Marty's disgruntled employees helps Jason by releasing a stream of water into Marty's path using his Intermec 6651.
Jason steal's Marty's iPAQ and uses it to follow his movements and plot against him.
