Murray owns a array of computer equipment including a Grid Compass that he takes with him when the gang are away from the Riptide.
Released in 1982, the Grid Compass is argued by many to be the first laptop computer. It was extremely expensive, but its robust bubble memory made it successful in the defence industry and it was used on the Space Shuttle.
